The hydro test was carried out with the help of the Kawerau Fire Brigade and the Kawerau Council. It was the last requirement to confirm the container was water tight, before the muffler could be put into service. The container is one of two containers that will be stacked together, and used as a geothermal fluid muffler, which will be transferred to different geothermal well sites around the country. The containers first destination will be at the Te Ahi o Maui geothermal project site near Kawerau, where it will be installed for Western Energy, to flow test two new geothermal wells.
