Kaitawa Main Inlet Valves
The Scope
The project involved the removal and refurbishment of the Main Inlet Valve (MIV), including project management and supervision, subcontractor coordination, trunnion overhaul and replacement of sleeves and Oiless bearings.
The scope also included machining and fabrication, welding, NDT, pressure testing, and comprehensive QA documentation including ITPs, ITRs, MDRs and final QA reporting.
Our Solution
Hutec provided end-to-end project management and technical delivery, coordinating specialist subcontractors and managing all machining, welding, inspection and testing activities. Hutec completed the trunnion refurbishment, designed and manufactured a bulkhead for pressure testing, and provided welding, QA and NDT resources throughout the works.
Comprehensive inspection records, manufacturing documentation and final QA reporting provided full traceability through to project completion.
